Keith spent 25 years with the City of Memphis Police Department, retiring in August 1998, as a Lieutenant.  While with the Police Department he served in the following capacities:

Uniformed Patrol
Vice & Organized Crime Bureau, Auto Theft Bureau and Homicide Bureau
He worked on numerous federal task forces with federal agencies, such as the 
                 IRS Criminal Investigative Division           
                 U. S. Secret Service
                 U. S. Customs
                 U. S. Marshall's Service
                 U. S. Department of State
in both undercover capacity and as an investigative officer.  He prepared and presented cases to federal grand juries, worked on federal search warrants and seizure cases, resulting in several million dollars in assets recovered.  In addition, he participated in undercover surveillance and worked on security teams for executive protection.

In 1998 Keith was called to Nashville to appear before the Tennessee House of Representatives to be honored with a proclamation for his undercover work and participation in the federal prosecution of organized crime figures in the West Tennessee area.

As a Lieutenant he received the Medal of Merit from the Memphis Police Department.

In May 1991, the Memphis Life Underwriters Association honored Keith as “Officer of the Month”.

Keith is a native of Memphis, educated at the University of Memphis, majoring in Criminal Justice, and a graduate of Kingsbury High School

He also served as the Air Traffic Reporter for WREC Radio, 1980 - 1982 and for WMC Radio & TV, 1982-1994
